Our Mission

Mission Statement
Chesapeake Bay ASAP employees will provide professional, effective traffic and substance abuse intervention and probationary sanctions, in order to meet our goal of:

Improving transportation safety by decreasing the incidence of driving under the influence of alcohol or other drugs and thereby reducing the number of alcohol and other drug-related crashes.

Chesapeake Bay ASAP serves the cities of Norfolk and Virginia Beach and the counties of Accomack and Northampton. Chesapeake Bay ASAP was created in 1995 as a result of a merger between Tidewater ASAP, which was established in 1975 to serve the cities of Norfolk and Virginia Beach, and Eastern Shore ASAP which was established in 1978 to serve Accomack and Northampton.

It’s through the values we practice in P.R.I.D.E. (Professionalism, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence), that we achieve our mission!
